#all i want is happy bones #because you know what #people ignore it #but this man was very rarely happy #in the episode for the world is hollow and i have touched the sky #he talks about having the chance to be happy for the first time #not for the first time in a long time #the FIRST TIME #in star trek v #sybok talks about how mccoy’s pain is the deepest of all #and #basically everything we know about his personal background is tragic #and i love this character more than any other character ever #so these moments are the best #the happy mccoy moments #it was lovely to see how happy his friendship with kirk and spock made him #especially as they got older it seems #his smiles in TOS brightened up entire episodes #but i really love that he started smiling more in the film franchise #he smiled so much in the voyage home #and there were so many sarcastic smiles in the final frontier #the brightest smile ever in the episode journey to babel #when amanda told him about spock’s sehlat #i love that smile #all mccoy smiles are good smiles #de had the best and sweetest smile i’ve ever seen #i’m glad we got to see it on mccoy #i’m glad we got to see such a sad man have happy moments-(via)
